Mark Duffy, CFA®, CFP®, is the founder of Lumora Wealth, an independent, fee-only Registered Investment Adviser based in Massachusetts. He launched Lumora Wealth to deliver high-quality financial planning without the conflicts of traditional AUM or commission-based models.

With over a decade of experience in institutional investment management and research, Mark brings a rare depth of technical expertise to financial planning. He spent more than seven years as a buy-side research analyst specializing in fixed income and credit, and also held formal ESG and sustainability roles at leading asset managers. This background gives clients a unique advantage: advice grounded in rigorous investment knowledge, combined with a transparent fiduciary framework.

Why I Became an Advisor

I became a financial advisor because I saw how often traditional models put the firm’s incentives ahead of the client’s best interest. After more than a decade on the institutional side of investing, I wanted to bring that same level of rigor and discipline directly to families and professionals, but in a way that removed the conflicts I had seen in the industry.

I built Lumora Wealth to give clients access to fiduciary advice that is independent, cost-conscious, and truly aligned with their lives. My goal is to simplify complexity, help clients feel confident in their decisions, and show that financial planning can be both practical and values-driven.
